110gsm nylon spandex high-stretch swimwear fabric. Light — you pick it up and notice it's not the heavy stuff. 20% elastane — you feel the stretch the moment you pull it. Strong, responsive, snaps right back without hesitation. Nylon gives it that smooth, cool-to-the-touch feel. At 110gsm, it's noticeably lighter than our 150-250gsm swimwear fabrics. It feels barely there against the skin. 150cm wide, 6 yards per kilo. If you've used heavier swimwear fabrics and wanted something with the same strong stretch but less weight, this is it. Light, tight, and built to move.
20% spandex means strong compression with rock-solid recovery — it won't bag out, sag, or lose its shape after repeated wear and washing. Nylon handles chlorine and saltwater. At 110gsm, it's lighter than our heavyweight options, so it's better suited to regular training and resort wear rather than heavy-duty competitive use. But for what it's made for, it holds up. Won't shrink, won't wrinkle much, comes out of the wash looking the same. Not the kind that quits after one season.
High-elasticity sports bras that hold without feeling heavy. Yoga wear and Pilates pieces. Lightweight swimwear for training and resort. Cycling gear and compression base layers. Shapewear linings that need to be light and breathable. If you need heavier compression for competitive swimwear, we have 200gsm, 220gsm, and 250gsm options. If you need maximum coverage, our 320gsm is the heaviest. This one's for when you want strong stretch in a lighter package — tight enough to perform, light enough to forget you're wearing it.
20% gives you noticeably more compression and faster recovery than 15%. It snaps back harder and holds its shape longer. If 15% is a firm hug, 20% is a grip. Good for pieces that need to stay put during high-movement activity. If you need maximum compression, we have options up to 40% spandex. If you want lighter stretch for casual wear, 15% works well.
Yes. Most of our swimwear fabrics are in the 150-250gsm range. This 110gsm is lighter and thinner — better for pieces where you want less weight and more breathability. It's still fully opaque at this weight, but if you're looking for the heavy, locked-in feel of competitive swimwear, you'll want our 200gsm or 220gsm options.
Yes, fully opaque at 110gsm. No lining needed. The 20% spandex helps with coverage — the fabric maintains its density even when stretched. You can use it for one-pieces and activewear without worrying about transparency, even in lighter colors.
Weight and compression. The 150gsm is heavier and has 24% spandex — built for stronger compression and more structure. This 110gsm is lighter and has 20% spandex — built for high stretch with less weight. If you want maximum hold and coverage, go 150gsm. If you want strong stretch in a lighter, more breathable package, go 110gsm.
Both. The lightweight feel and strong stretch make it excellent for yoga wear, Pilates, and studio activewear. It moves with the body and breathes well. For hot yoga or high-sweat sessions, the lighter weight is actually an advantage — it won't feel heavy or clammy.
Yes. Nylon naturally resists chlorine well, and this fabric has been tested for regular pool use. Colors stay true, fabric doesn't turn brittle or thin out. Rinse with fresh water after each use and it'll last even longer. For absolute maximum chlorine resistance over years, polyester options handle chlorine slightly better.
No. Our fabrics are designed and produced for swimwear, activewear, sportswear, and related uses. We do not currently manufacture or supply fabrics for medical, filtration, or industrial applications. If you need medical-grade textiles, we recommend consulting a specialist supplier.
