The finish and the weight. The 220gsm matte version has a flat, non-shiny surface — understated and premium. This 200gsm lustrous version is slightly lighter, with a bright, polished sheen built into the yarn. Both are heavyweights with strong compression. Pick matte for quiet luxury. Pick lustrous for a sharper, brighter look in and out of the water.
2. Is the lustre going to wash out or fade?
No. The lustre is in the nylon yarn itself — it's how the fiber is made, not a coating or finish on top. It won't wash out, won't rub off, won't turn dull after cleaning. The glow stays.
3. 200gsm — is this considered heavy for swimwear?
Yes, this is a solid heavyweight. Heavier than our 150gsm and 175gsm options, but lighter than our 220gsm and 250gsm versions. It sits right in the sweet spot for serious training suits — enough weight to be fully opaque and hold compression through long sessions, but not so heavy that it feels bulky.

7. Nylon vs polyester for swimwear — why pick this one?
Feel and finish. Nylon is softer and smoother against the skin, with a natural sheen and better stretch recovery. Polyester handles chlorine slightly better over the very long term, but nylon feels more luxurious and drapes more fluidly. If you want the softest, most premium feel with a clean lustrous finish, go nylon. If absolute maximum chlorine resistance over years is your priority, go polyester.
