How does it feel?
110gsm nylon spandex stretch mesh. Soft — you touch it and immediately feel the nylon. 92% nylon gives it that smooth, cool-to-the-touch feel that polyester just can't match. 8% spandex provides a comfortable stretch that moves with the body without squeezing. Not restrictive. Not baggy. The mesh structure is clean and even — breathable, airy, with a natural drape. 160cm wide, 6 yards per kilo. If you've used standard polyester mesh and found it too crisp or rough, this nylon version is the softer, more refined alternative. Light enough to breathe, soft enough to wear all day.
Is it tough? Does it last?
Nylon with spandex holds its own. Won't shrink, won't wrinkle much, keeps its shape through washing and wearing. The 8% spandex provides solid recovery — it won't bag out or sag after repeated wear. This 110gsm nylon mesh is softer, smoother, and has a standard mesh structure without the diamond pattern. Both have spandex for stretch. Pick diamond mesh for a decorative, structured look. Pick this nylon mesh for a softer, more comfortable feel against the skin.
2. How is this different from your 104gsm polyester spandex Korean mesh?
Fiber and feel. The 104gsm Korean mesh is polyester — drier, crispier, with a clean even hole structure built for structured fashion pieces. This 110gsm nylon mesh is softer, smoother, and more comfortable against the skin. Both have spandex for stretch. Pick Korean mesh for crisp fashion structure. Pick this nylon mesh for soft, comfortable activewear and linings.
3. 8% spandex — how much stretch does it actually have?
Just enough to be comfortable. 8% spandex gives a subtle flex — it moves with the body without losing its shape. It's not the firm compression of performance activewear. It's the kind of stretch you want in a casual sportswear piece or a breathable lining: there when you need it, not restrictive, not baggy. If you need strong four-way compression, we have options with 15-40% spandex.
4. Is this see-through? Do I need a lining?
It's a mesh — by nature, it's breathable and semi-sheer. For sportswear outer layers and yoga panels, the breathability is the point. For linings, it provides a soft, breathable inner layer without adding bulk. If you're using it as a main fabric for a garment, consider the design and color — darker colors provide more coverage. 5. Can I use this for swimwear?
It has stretch and nylon content, but it's not specifically designed for prolonged chlorine or saltwater exposure like our dedicated swimwear fabrics. For occasional water use, it'll hold up. For competitive or frequent pool use, we recommend our swimwear-specific options with chlorine resistance built in.
6. 160cm wide — is that a standard width?
Yes, 160cm is a comfortable standard width for apparel fabrics. It gives you good flexibility when cutting without excess waste. For most sportswear and activewear patterns, this width works efficiently.
7. Is this fabric suitable for medical or healthcare applications?
