It's not built for heavy abrasion, but it's tougher than it looks. The 20D multifilament nylon gives it decent tear strength for its weight. Won't fray at the cut edge like some cheaper mesh does. For embroidery backing especially — if the base fabric shifts, the embroidery shifts with it. Heat-set fabric stays put. This is the difference between fighting your material and running a clean production line.
