This 24gsm version is lighter and sheerer, with a more open structure. If you want the finest, tightest finish, go 28gsm high-density. If you want lighter weight with good durability, go 24gsm.
2. 24gsm — how do you handle something this light?
Gently, but the reinforced weave makes it more cooperative than standard mesh at the same weight. Nylon has more give than polyester, so it doesn't shatter the moment you touch it. Lay it flat when cutting. Don't yank it through the machine. Use tissue paper under the fabric when sewing — it stabilizes the fabric and tears away clean when you're done. The reinforced structure helps it hold its ground on the cutting table.
