At only 15gsm, will it tear easily?

It's light, but it's tough. The nylon yarn has good tensile strength. We've pulled it ourselves — you need to put some real force into it before it gives. So bridal overlays and stage costumes are fine. That said, it's not meant for daily-wear base layers. It's made to float and catch the light, not survive a workout. Also, if you use the lighter shades for backdrops or decor and someone gets makeup on it, a quick wipe with a damp cloth usually takes it right off — very easy to maintain.

Will the sparkle rub off or wash out?

No. The shimmer is in the yarn itself, not a coating on top. So it won't shed glitter or fade in the wash. The sheen stays — it's a soft metallic finish, not that cheap shiny look. Under lights it's beautiful, but it won't blind you. A lot of customers tell us the real thing looks better than photos — cameras can't quite catch that subtle sparkle. There are a lot of imitations out there that flake or peel after washing. If you ever want to check, just lightly scratch the surface with your fingernail — the real finish won't lift or leave marks. That's something we stand behind.

What can I make with such a lightweight fabric?

Bridal overlays, veils, wraps, evening gowns, stage costumes. And because of the shimmer, a lot of event planners use it for party backdrops and decorations. We've also seen it used for lampshade covers — when the light shines through, the sparkle looks amazing. Some customers use it for high-end gift wrapping and wedding favor packaging too. Since it's so light, shipping costs stay low.

41 yards per kilo — how is the yield that high?

The fabric only weighs 15gsm. So one kilo goes a long way — about double what you'd get from a standard mesh. If you're using large quantities, the cost per yard is really friendly. Plus it's 63 inches wide, so you can cut large pieces without piecing — saves labor, saves fabric. When you run the numbers, this might be the most cost-effective piece in the whole collection.
