Mid-weight. Most of our lighter meshes run from 28gsm to 40gsm — those are sheer and airy, good for veils and delicate linings. This 74gsm is a step up — more body, more structure, better durability. Not as heavy as our stiff meshes, but definitely more substantial than the ultralight stuff. Good for projects that need a mesh you can feel.
2 What's the difference between this and your 38gsm double mesh?
Weight and structure. The 38gsm double mesh has a layered structure with larger openings and a finer built-in layer — more textured and airy. This 74gsm fine mesh has smaller, more even openings and more overall body. The double mesh is better for maximum airflow. This fine mesh is better for projects that need structure and durability with good breathability.
3 Is this see-through? Do I need a lining?
It's an open mesh — by nature, it's see-through and breathable. Use it for pieces where airflow matters: linings, pocket bags, ventilation panels. If you need opacity, this isn't the one. If you need airflow with more structure than ultralight mesh, it fits.
4 163cm wide — is that wider than standard?
Yes. Standard mesh is usually around 150-160cm. The extra width gives you more flexibility when cutting larger pieces or running volume production. Saves fabric, saves time.
5 Can this be used for laundry bags or pocket bags?
Yes, both are common uses. At 74gsm, it's durable enough to hold up through repeated washing or daily use without tearing.
