1. What does "reinforced" mean here? Is it thicker than standard mesh?

Not thicker — just stronger. The reinforced weave means the yarns are structured to resist tearing and snagging better than standard mesh at the same weight. Same lightweight feel, less panic when you're handling it.

2. How is this different from your regular polyester mesh?

The weave. Our regular polyester meshes are softer and drapier, good for linings and lightweight layers. This reinforced version has a tighter, more stable structure — better for projects that need a bit more durability without sacrificing the sheer lightweight look. Think of it as the tougher version.

3. 28gsm — how do you handle something this light?

Gently, but the reinforced weave makes it more cooperative than standard mesh at the same weight. Lay it flat when cutting. Don't yank it through the machine. Use tissue paper under the fabric when sewing — it stabilizes the fabric and tears away clean when you're done. Once you get used to the weight, it handles fine. The reinforced structure helps.

4. Is this the same as your 30D reinforced sparkle mesh, just without the sparkle?

Same base idea, different finish. The 30D version has metallic sparkle in the yarn and is slightly heavier at 28gsm with a 59-inch width. This 25D version is plain matte, no sparkle, and comes in a 63-inch width. Both are reinforced weaves. Pick sparkle if you want shimmer, pick this one if you want clean and understated.

5. Is this see-through? Do I need a lining?

It's sheer — at 28gsm, that's the point. It's made for layering, not for full coverage on its own. Use it as a veil, an overlay, or a delicate wrap. If you're making a garment with this as the main fabric, you'll want something underneath.

6. Can this be used outdoors? Will the wind destroy it?

It handles light breezes fine — the reinforced weave gives it a bit more stability than standard mesh. It still billows beautifully, which is part of the look. For outdoor ceremonies with mild weather, it's fine. For heavy wind, go with something heavier.

7. Is this fabric suitable for medical or healthcare applications?
