The reinforced weave makes a real difference here. Nylon already has natural give, so it doesn't tear the moment you pull it. The reinforced structure adds extra stability — better resistance to snagging and tearing than standard mesh at the same weight. Handle it with a light touch when cutting and sewing. Once it's in place as a veil or overlay, it holds up fine. Not built for heavy-duty use, but for what it's made for — bridal, apparel, crafts — it's reliable.

1. What does "reinforced" mean here? Is it thicker than regular mesh?

Not thicker — just stronger. The reinforced weave means the yarns are structured to resist tearing and snagging better than standard mesh at the same weight. Same lightweight feel, less panic when you're handling it.

2. 25gsm — how do you handle something this light?

Gently, but it's not as scary as it sounds. Nylon has more give than polyester at this weight, so it doesn't shatter the moment you touch it. Lay it flat when cutting. Don't yank it through the machine. Use tissue paper under the fabric when sewing — it stabilizes the fabric and tears away clean when you're done. Once you get used to the weight, it handles fine.

3. Is this the same as your other nylon meshes, just with a different weave?

Same base fiber, different structure. Our standard nylon meshes are softer and drapier. This reinforced version has a tighter, more stable weave — better for projects that need a bit more durability without sacrificing the lightweight sheer look. Think of it as the tougher sibling.

4. Is this four-way stretch? Can I use it for fitted pieces?

No stretch. This is a rigid mesh with no elastane. It's made for draping, layering, and structured pieces — not for anything that needs to hug the body or stretch with movement. If you need stretch, we have elastane-blend options in our activewear and swimwear ranges.

5. Is this fabric suitable for medical or healthcare applications?

No. Our fabrics are designed and produced for apparel, bridal, event decor, and craft uses. We do not currently manufacture or supply fabrics for medical, filtration, or industrial applications. If you need medical-grade textiles, we recommend consulting a specialist supplier.
