If you need something that disappears into the air and catches the light without adding any weight, this is it. Not for structure — this one's about being barely there.

It's 10gsm — let's be real, it's not built for heavy use. But it's not as fragile as it looks. Polyester holds its shape, resists wrinkles, and won't shrink in the wash. Handle it with a light touch when cutting and sewing. Once it's in place as an overlay or veil, it holds up fine. Just don't expect it to survive as a daily-wear piece. This one's for floating, not fighting.

1. 10gsm — how do you even handle something this light?

Gently, but it's not as scary as it sounds. Polyester at this weight has enough give that it doesn't shatter the moment you touch it. Lay it flat when cutting. Don't yank it through the machine. Once you get used to the weight, it handles fine. Think tissue paper — light touch, clean results.

2. How is this different from your nylon American mesh?

Fiber and feel. Nylon is softer and has a natural sheen. This polyester version is drier, crispier, and fully matte — no shine. It also resists wrinkles better. If you want soft and flowy with a bit of glow, go nylon. If you want clean, matte, and structured, go polyester.

3. Is this see-through? Do I need a lining under it?

It's 10gsm — it's extremely sheer. That's the point. It's made for layering, not for coverage. Use it as an overlay, a veil layer, or a delicate wrap. If you're making a garment with this as the main fabric, you'll definitely want something underneath.

4. Can this be used outdoors? Will the wind destroy it?

It's made for light air movement — that's part of the look. A gentle breeze and it floats beautifully. But if you're setting up outdoors in heavy wind, it's going to be a handful. For outdoor ceremonies with mild weather, it's fine. For a windy beach setup, go with something heavier like our 17gsm or 22gsm mesh.

5. Is this fabric suitable for medical or healthcare applications?
