Double-thread means there's an extra strand in the weave, so it's a bit tougher than single-thread versions. Still sheer, still floaty. 63 inches wide. Holds a fold without collapsing, soft enough to drape. If you've used single-thread sparkle mesh before and wished it had just a little more strength, this is it.

The double-thread build gives it a real edge. Two yarns twisted together means better tear resistance than standard single-thread sparkle mesh at the same weight. It's still 14gsm — not denim — so handle it with a light touch. But it won't shred the moment you pull it, and the sparkle won't fade or shed. Nylon resists wrinkles and holds its shape. Double-thread has two yarns twisted together. Single-thread has one. The result: better tear resistance, a bit more body, and a slightly more textured surface. This one still weighs almost nothing, but it's less likely to snag or rip during cutting and sewing.

2. Is the sparkle going to rub off onto my hands or other fabrics?

No. The metallic yarn is part of the weave itself, not a coating on top. It stays put — won't transfer while you sew, won't shed onto the rest of the garment, won't wash out. The sparkle is there for good.

3. At 14gsm, how do you even handle something this light?

It takes a light touch, but it's not fragile. The double-thread construction helps — it won't tear the moment you pull it. Lay it flat when cutting, don't stretch it out, and it handles fine. Once you get used to it, it's no harder than regular mesh. Just respect the weight.

4. Is this fabric suitable for medical or healthcare applications?
