How does it feel?

40gsm polyester B3 mesh. Soft right out of the hand — not stiff, not scratchy. Lightweight, but not the kind that floats away on you. The weave is a fine open mesh, so it breathes. Smooth to the touch. 155cm wide, 16 yards per kilo. It's got a tiny bit more body than those super ultralight meshes, so it doesn't slide around or fight you when you cut and sew. Drapes nice without going limp.

Is it tough? Does it last?

It's polyester — handles wear and washing without fuss. Doesn't really wrinkle, won't shrink on you, comes out of the wash looking the same. The mesh is even and stable. Cuts without fraying, sews without bunching up. Use it for linings or summer pieces that get regular wear. No special treatment needed.

What can I make with it?

Garment linings that need to breathe. Lightweight blouses, summer dresses, cover-ups. Scarves, wraps, craft projects where you want a soft mesh with just a bit of structure. If you need something with stretch, we have a whole range of stretch mesh. If you need something stiff, we have hard mesh. This one's for when you want soft, light, and breathable — next to skin or drifting over it.

FAQ

1. Is this a mesh or a plain weave?

It's a mesh. You can see the fine open weave up close. But the holes are small, not like those big-hole hard meshes. It's soft, not stiff. Good for linings and light clothes that need air flowing through.

2. Is it see-through? Will I need a lining?

It's 40gsm, so it's on the lighter side. Not completely sheer — you can wear a summer blouse or dress in a single layer without worrying. For something fitted like a skirt or pants, I'd add a lining just to be safe, but for flowy pieces it's fine on its own.

3. No stretch — will that feel uncomfortable?

It has no stretch, but the fabric itself is soft, so it doesn't pull or feel tight. Perfect for loose, relaxed fits. Drapes well too. Just don't try to make leggings or yoga wear out of it — grab our stretch mesh for that.

4. How's this different from your nylon mesh?

This one's polyester, so it has a drier, cleaner hand feel. Nylon is slicker, a bit shinier. This B3 mesh is matte and looks more understated. It also resists wrinkles better — less ironing after laundry. If you want something that looks crisp without trying too hard, this is a good pick.

5. Can I print on it or do hot stamping?

Yeah, both work. The surface is smooth, so digital prints and heat transfers come out clean. For hot stamping, just don't crank the heat to max — polyester doesn't love extreme temperatures. Do a quick test on a swatch first, then you're good to go.
