How does it feel?

28gsm nylon 3075 mesh. Light, soft — not stiff at all. The weave is a fine open mesh, so it breathes well. Smooth to the touch, not scratchy. 61 inches wide. If you've handled our stiff mesh and thought it was too crisp, this is the opposite — soft, drapey, moves with you.

🛡️

Is it tough? Does it last?

Nylon has natural give, so it doesn't tear the moment you pull it. It's 28gsm — not a heavyweight — so handle it with a light touch when cutting and sewing. Once it's in place as a lining or cover-up, it holds up fine through normal wear and washing. Won't shrink, won't wrinkle much, comes out of the wash looking the same.

🧵

What can I make with it?

Garment linings that need to breathe. Lightweight cover-ups, summer scarves, wraps. Craft projects where you need a soft mesh. Anything that needs to be light, airy, and comfortable against the skin. Not for structure — it's too soft for that. This one's about air and softness.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. 28gsm — is this the lightest mesh you carry?
No, we have lighter ones — 9gsm, 14gsm, 17gsm American mesh and Swiss tulle. But those are sheer and floaty, made for bridal overlays and veils. This 3075 mesh is a workhorse — still light, but with more body and durability for garment linings and everyday pieces.
2. Soft vs stiff — what's the difference in how this handles?
Stiff mesh holds a shape. This doesn't. It drapes, it moves, it follows the body. If you need something to stand up and stay put, go with our stiff mesh. If you need something to flow and breathe and feel soft against the skin, this is the one.
3. Is this see-through? Do I need a lining under it?
It's a mesh with an open weave, so it's sheer by nature. If you're using it as a lining itself, it's fine — it's meant to be lightweight and breathable. If you're using it as an outer layer for a garment, you'll want something underneath depending on the look you're going for.
4. Nylon vs polyester — why pick this over your polyester mesh?
Nylon is softer, has more natural give, and drapes better. Polyester is crispier and holds a crease more cleanly. If you want something that feels soft and moves with the body, go nylon. If you want something that holds a sharp fold and resists wrinkles, go polyester. This 3075 is nylon, so it's on the soft and flowy side.
5. Is this fabric suitable for medical or healthcare applications?
No. Our fabrics are designed and produced for apparel, swimwear, sportswear, bridal, and craft uses. We do not currently manufacture or supply fabrics for medical, filtration, or industrial applications. If you need medical-grade textiles, we recommend consulting a specialist supplier.
6. How should I care for this 3075 nylon mesh?
This nylon mesh is durable enough for normal washing. It resists shrinking and wrinkling, making it easy to maintain for everyday wear. We recommend a gentle cycle and air drying or low-heat tumble drying to maintain its soft drape.
