What Makes This Fabric Different?

Light, But Tough.

24gsm is light, but we reinforced the weave. It resists tearing and snagging — holds up fine through cutting and sewing. Not the kind of thin mesh that rips the moment you pull it. Light, but the strength is there.

Smooth Against Skin. Breathable.

100% polyester filament. Feels smooth, not scratchy, no rough edges. The open mesh weave keeps it breathable, so it works well for linings and layered pieces. Cuts and sews cleanly, doesn't curl or fray at the edges.

Cost-Friendly for Volume Orders.

63 inches wide, 26 yards per kilo. Wide enough to cut large pieces without piecing — saves labor and material. Per-unit cost stays low, which adds up fast on bulk production runs.

Common Uses

Bridal veils, gown overlays, ballet tutus, cosplay costumes, Lolita dress supports, apparel linings, activewear panels, lingerie backing, sheer curtains, party backdrops, gift wrapping, industrial filter mesh — anything that needs to be light, sheer, and hold its shape.

Questions We Get Asked

How many layers of this polyester mesh do I need for a petticoat to hold a full shape?

Depends on the volume you're going for. For a standard A-line petti, 2 to 3 layers is usually enough. For a full ball gown or a dramatic bridal train, you might want 4 or 5 layers. Because this mesh is already quite stiff on its own, each layer brings real structure — you don't need as many as you would with a soft nylon tulle. Try a small section first, start with fewer layers for a lighter feel, and add one more if it needs extra oomph.

Can I spray paint or hand-dye this polyester mesh? Will it bleed or shrink?

Totally doable. A lot of cosplay and stage prop makers spray paint or hand-dye this mesh to match their color scheme. Just test on a scrap piece first to check adhesion. For dyeing, keep the water temperature low — polyester doesn't like high heat and will shrink if it gets too hot. A cool dye bath works best.

For bridal veils, do you use this reinforced mesh on its own or combine it with other tulles?

Either way works. Use it solo if you want a clean, structured look that stays exactly where you put it. But a lot of bridal designers do a combo: this reinforced mesh on the top layer to hold the silhouette, then one of our soft nylon tulles underneath for drape and movement. The contrast between the structured top and the flowing bottom looks really beautiful.

Is this polyester mesh washable? Will it lose its stiffness or shape after washing?

Yes, it's washable. Polyester handles water just fine. It won't go limp or lose its structure after washing, and it won't shrink. But be gentle — hand wash is best. If you machine wash, always use a laundry bag and avoid mixing with items that have zippers or hooks, which can snag the mesh. Hang dry only — no tumble dryer, the heat will shrink the fabric and ruin the stiffness.

Can I request a free sample of this fabric for pre-production quality testing?

Yes, free samples are available for pre-production testing to ensure the texture, stiffness, and weight meet your project standards. All samples are prepared and shipped directly from our manufacturing facility in Fujian, China. Please contact us to provide your shipping account or address details to arrange delivery.

How does the 63-inch width and 26 yards/kilo yield help in reducing overall project costs?

The generous 63-inch width allows you to cut larger pattern pieces (such as full tutus, gown overlays, or curtains) in one single piece without needing to patch or sew panels together. Combined with the high yield of 26 yards per kilo, it significantly minimizes material wastage, cuts down on assembly labor, and lowers the per-unit cost on bulk production runs.
