It's 20gsm — not built for heavy use, let's be real. But the high-density weave gives it better tear resistance than standard mesh at this weight. Nylon has natural give, so it doesn't shatter the moment you pull it. Handle it with a light touch when cutting and sewing. Once it's in place as a veil or overlay, it holds up fine. Won't shrink, won't wrinkle much, comes out of the wash looking the same. The H-series construction adds a bit more stability through handling. Not for daily-wear pieces — this one's for floating, not fighting.

Same series, different weight. They all share the H-series high-density weave, so they all handle better than standard American mesh. The difference is purely in the weight — 15gsm is lighter and sheerer, 17gsm sits in the middle, and this 20gsm gives you the most body in the H series. If you want the airiest veil possible, go 15gsm. If you want a bit more substance while staying light, go 20gsm.

3. 20gsm — how do you handle something this light?

Gently, but the high-density weave makes it more cooperative than standard mesh at the same weight. Nylon has more give than polyester, so it doesn't shatter the moment you touch it. Lay it flat when cutting. Don't yank it through the machine. Use tissue paper under the fabric when sewing — it stabilizes the fabric and tears away clean when you're done. Once you get used to the weight, it handles fine. The H-series construction helps.

4. Is this see-through? Do I need a lining?

It's sheer — at 20gsm, that's the point. It's made for layering, not for full coverage on its own. Use it as a veil, an overlay, or a delicate wrap. If you're making a garment with this as the main fabric, you'll definitely want something underneath.
