New Lightweight Base Fabrics, Structured Mesh, and Performance Swimwear — 5 Fresh Additions to Our Collection

2026-07-16

Our sample room has been busy again. Over the past few days, we've added five new fabrics — a nylon base fabric, two structured mesh options, and two performance Swimwear Fabrics. Here's a quick rundown of what's new and what each one is made for.

All fabrics are manufactured in Fuzhou, China, with competitive pricing and global shipping available. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and GRS certifications available upon request.

For a Lightweight Nylon Base That Disappears Inside the Garment: 40D Nylon Base Fabric (22gsm)
5d7e73c790e162463ea61e8842690315.jpg

This is a lightweight nylon base fabric with a dense, even weave. At 22gsm, it's sheer and smooth — the kind of fabric that disappears inside a jacket or dress and does its job quietly. Nylon gives it a softer, drapier hand than our polyester base fabrics, with a subtle natural sheen. 28 yards per kilo keeps your material cost low.

Use it for:
garment linings, interlinings, embroidery backing, and lamination base fabric for bonding with waterproof membranes. If you've been using polyester base fabric and wanted something with a softer touch, this nylon version is your answer.
Available in:
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified upon request.
For a Structured Mesh with Real Backbone: 20D Polyester Double-Thread American Mesh (22gsm)

This polyester American mesh features a double-thread construction — two yarns woven side by side instead of one. The result is a mesh that's denser, more structured, and holds its shape better than standard single-thread mesh. At 22gsm, it's still light, but it's got real backbone. 28 yards per kilo.

Use it for:
bridal pettiskirts that need lightweight volume, gown structuring, and millinery pieces. If standard American mesh feels too floppy for your project, this double-thread version gives you the control you're looking for.
For the Lightest Structured Mesh in the H Series: 20D Nylon High-Density American Mesh H (17gsm)

This is the lightest structured mesh in our American Mesh H series. At 17gsm, it's barely there — but the high-density "H" weave gives it a skeleton that holds. The holes are smaller and tighter than standard American mesh. Nylon makes it smooth and soft with a subtle natural sheen. 36 yards per kilo — the highest yield in this batch, so your cost per yard is exceptionally low.

Use it for:
bridal pettiskirts, veils with body, gown interlinings, and accessories. If you want the lightest possible mesh that still holds a shape, this is it.
For a Performance Swimsuit That Means Business: YP11205 Nylon Spandex Sports Swimwear Fabric (250gsm)
02_副本.jpg

This is a heavyweight nylon spandex Swimwear Fabric with 25% elastane — near the top end for stretch. Pick it up and you immediately feel the weight and the power. Pull it and it snaps back with real authority. Nylon gives it a smooth, soft hand feel with a subtle natural sheen. 160cm wide.

Use it for:
competitive swimwear, serious training suits, and high-intensity aquatic sportswear. If your customer is swimming five days a week and needs a suit that holds its compression and stays fully opaque, this is the fabric they need.
Also available:
GRS-certified recycled nylon version for sustainable swimwear brands — ask for details.
For an Everyday Training Swimsuit That Won't Fade: 5540 Polyester Spandex Black Mesh Swimwear Fabric (175gsm)
01 (5)_副本.jpg

This is a polyester spandex Swimwear Fabric in a full black yarn construction — the yarn itself is fully dyed black, not just surface-dyed. The black stays black, wash after wash. At 175gsm, it's the middle ground — solid coverage, comfortable 13% elastane stretch, not too heavy. Polyester handles chlorine better than nylon over the long term. 147cm wide.

Use it for:
training suits, resort swimwear, and everyday one-pieces. If your customer wants a reliable black Swimwear Fabric that handles regular pool time without fading, this is the workhorse.
