The 6430 weave gives it good dimensional stability — it won't flag or distort under tension. Polyester holds its shape, resists wrinkles, and won't shrink in the wash. Cuts cleanly with minimal fraying, feeds evenly through the machine. For bridal veils, overlays, and craft pieces that need to survive a long event and still look sharp, it's reliable. Not built for heavy-duty use, but for what it's made for, it does the job.

1. What's the 6430 weave? Is it different from standard mesh?

The 6430 designation refers to the specific weave construction — it's a tighter, more stable structure than basic open mesh. The result is a fabric that handles better during cutting and sewing, with less slipping and sliding. Same lightweight sheer look, more control.

2. How is this different from your 23gsm nylon Swiss tulle?

Fiber and weight. The Swiss tulle is nylon — softer, drapier, with a subtle natural sheen. This 6430 mesh is polyester — slightly crispier, more matte, and a few grams heavier. The polyester version holds a crease better and resists wrinkles. Pick nylon for softness and drape, polyester for structure and control.

3. 32gsm — how do you handle it?

Easier than ultralight mesh, actually. The extra weight and tighter weave give it more stability on the cutting table — less slipping, less sliding. Lay it flat when cutting. Don't yank it through the machine. Use tissue paper under the fabric when sewing for delicate seams. But overall, it's more cooperative than the 15-25gsm options.

4. Is this see-through? Do I need a lining?

It's sheer — at 32gsm, that's the point. It's made for layering, not for full coverage on its own. Use it as a veil, an overlay, or a delicate wrap. If you're making a garment with this as the main fabric, you'll want something underneath.

5. Is this the same as your 25D polyester reinforced mesh?

Same fiber, different weave and weight. The reinforced mesh at 28gsm is built for durability with a specific reinforced structure. This 6430 mesh at 32gsm has a different weave construction — slightly heavier, with good stability from the 6430 pattern rather than a reinforced yarn structure. Both are solid choices for veils and overlays. The 6430 gives you a bit more weight, the reinforced gives you a bit more tear resistance.

6. Is this fabric suitable for medical or healthcare applications?
