Handle it with a light touch when cutting and sewing. Once it's in place as a veil or overlay, it holds up fine. Won't shrink, won't wrinkle much, comes out of the wash looking the same. Not for daily-wear pieces. This one's for floating, not fighting.

1. Nylon vs polyester Swiss tulle — what's the difference?

Nylon, like this one, is softer, drapier, and has a smoother, cooler hand feel. It also has a subtle natural sheen. Polyester is slightly crispier, more matte, and holds a crease better. Both are lightweight Swiss tulle. If you want the softest possible drape, go nylon. If you want more structure and wrinkle resistance, go polyester.

2. How is this different from your 21gsm polyester Swiss tulle?

Two things: fiber and weight. The 21gsm polyester version is slightly lighter and has a drier, crispier hand. This 23gsm nylon version is softer, drapier, and has a smoother feel against the skin. The 2gsm difference is subtle — you might not even notice it — but the hand feel difference is clear the moment you touch them. If you want soft and flowy, go nylon. If you want clean and crisp, go polyester.

3. 23gsm — how do you handle something this light?

Gently, but it's not as scary as it sounds. Nylon has more give than polyester at this weight, so it doesn't shatter the moment you touch it. Lay it flat when cutting. Don't yank it through the machine. Use tissue paper under the fabric when sewing — it stabilizes the fabric and tears away clean when you're done. Once you get used to the weight, it handles fine.

4. Is this see-through? Do I need a lining?

It's sheer — at 23gsm, that's the point. It's made for layering, not for full coverage on its own. Use it as a veil, an overlay, or a delicate wrap. If you're making a garment with this as the main fabric, you'll definitely want something underneath.

5. Can this be used outdoors? Will the wind destroy it?

It handles light breezes beautifully — that's part of the look for veils and draping. It floats, it billows, it catches the light. For outdoor ceremonies with mild weather, it's fine. For heavy wind, you might want something with more weight like our 28gsm or 30gsm mesh.

6. Is this fabric suitable for medical or healthcare applications?
