It's polyester — not delicate. Won't shrink, won't wrinkle, won't lose its shape in the wash. Use it as a lining tucked inside a garment, wear it how you want, no special care needed. Works as embroidery backing too — needle goes through clean, tears away without fraying.

1. Is there any difference in use between recycled polyester and regular polyester?

No difference in performance. Same smooth hand feel, same natural body, no shrinkage or wrinkling after washing. The difference is upstream — the yarn comes from recycled material, not virgin stock. Your customer won't feel a thing, but the label can say recycled polyester. That's where the value sits.

2. At 22gsm, is it too sheer for linings?

It's sheer — it's a lightweight fabric. But linings are meant to be light, and a bit of sheerness doesn't hurt. If you're lining a light-colored jacket or dress, go with a lighter shade of this fabric or add an extra layer. For darker outer fabrics or autumn-winter pieces, it's fine on its own.

3. Is it stable enough for embroidery backing?

Stable enough. It's got some natural body, not limp, so it sits tight on the embroidery hoop without wandering. Needle goes through clean, no jamming or skipping. Tears away clean after stitching without fraying at the edges. We've had customers using this for flat embroidery backing for years.

4. What certifications do you have for the eco claims?

The yarn used is GRS-certified recycled polyester. We can provide relevant test reports for the finished fabric. Just tell us what you need ahead of time. A lot of European and North American brands require this documentation now — this fabric is built to meet that demand.
