Nylon holds its color, spandex holds its snap. At 135gsm, it's lighter than our 200gsm and above options, so it's better suited to regular training and resort wear rather than heavy-duty competitive use. But for what it's made for, it goes the distance.

Weight and feel. The 200gsm version is heavier, more compressive, and built for serious training and competitive use. This 135gsm is lighter and more comfortable for everyday training, resort wear, and pieces where you don't need the extra heft. Same nylon smoothness, same four-way stretch, same opacity — just less weight. Think of it as the more relaxed version.

2. 165cm wide — is that wider than standard swimwear fabric?

Yes. Standard swimwear fabric is usually around 150-152cm. This one gives you an extra 13-15cm, which means more efficient cutting for larger pieces and less fabric waste. Not a massive difference, but it adds up over a full production run.

3. Is this fully opaque? Do I need a lining?

Yes, fully opaque at 135gsm. No lining needed. You can use it for one-pieces, bikinis, and training suits without worrying about transparency, even in lighter colors.

4. How's the stretch? Will it bag out over time?

Strong four-way stretch — pulls over 2x crosswise and snaps right back. The spandex is properly set, so recovery is solid. Normal wear, normal washing, won't sag. For training suits that get worn regularly, it holds its shape.

5. Nylon vs polyester swimwear fabric — why pick this one?

Nylon feels softer and smoother against the skin, with a natural sheen that looks sharp in and out of the water. Polyester handles chlorine a bit better over the very long term. If you want a more comfortable, luxurious hand feel with a bit of glow, go nylon. If maximum chlorine resistance is your top priority, go polyester. Both are solid choices — just different priorities.
