If you've handled our regular polyester mesh and thought it was too crisp or slick, this one's the opposite — soft, warm to the touch, comfortable against the skin.

1. What does "brushed" mean? Is it different from regular mesh?

Brushed means the surface has been mechanically raised to create a soft fuzzy texture. Regular mesh feels smooth and sometimes slick. This one feels warm and soft to the touch — like the difference between a crisp cotton shirt and a flannel. The brushing also gives it better insulation, so it's good for pieces that need to hold a bit of warmth.

2. Is this see-through? Do I need a lining under it?

At 130gsm, it gives good coverage. Not completely opaque like our heavyweight swimwear fabric, but enough for most apparel applications. If you're using it as a lining itself, it's fine. If you're using it as an outer layer for something fitted, you might want a layer underneath depending on the look you want.

3. Will the brushed finish wear off or go flat after washing?

No. The brushing is a mechanical finish on the yarn itself, not a coating. It stays soft wash after wash. Polyester holds the brushed texture well — it won't mat down or go flat like some natural fibers might.

4. Is this the same as your other polyester meshes, just with a different finish?

Same base fiber, different finish and weight. Our regular polyester meshes are crisp and smooth — good for structure and overlays. This one is brushed for softness and warmth. At 130gsm, it's also heavier than most of our standard meshes, so it has more body and coverage. Different tools for different jobs.
